CNC is an abbreviation for Computer Numerical Control.
This indicates that a computer converts the design created by CAD (Computer Aided Design software), into numbers. The numbers should be viewed as the coordinates of a graph and they manage the operation of the cutter. This is how the computer get to control the shaping and cutting of the material. The coordinates X, Y and Z axis manage the movement of the cutter on a 3D CNC machine. This assures that the materials will be machined in three directions (3D manufacture).
